ACM Cal Poly - SLO

New this year, ACM is making it easier for students to attend conferences that interest them by publishing quaterly lists of student volunteering oppertunities and travel grant deadlines for conferences. Although the CSC department already sponsors a limited number of Grace Hopper Scholarships and many students have found scholarships to F8 or WWDC on their own, Cal Poly students rarely attend ACM sponsored conferences. We hope by informing the student population about conference oppertunies that we increase conference attendance by Cal Poly students by 15% as well as encourage the students to start their own research using what they learned.
